Transmission | The Stock Chassis is set up for the T-56 6-Speed Tremec Transmission. This tranny was used behind the LS engines from 1997 - 2004 in the Camaro and Firebird. The Bellhousing, transmission and mount are available new from GM or from a Tremec dealer. Other transmissions can be used but we need to custom fabricate the crossmember and mount. |

*The shifter must be relocated to a forward location. The tranny has provisions for this. (Shifter relocation part # to be determined) |

Differential | We use the differential from the 97-04 Corvette. As used in the Vette, it bolts directly to the tranmission creating a transaxle. We offer the parts to convert the differential into a unit that takes a driveshaft. The Corvete uses a 3.42:1 ratio in the 6-speed cars. THis is the unit we recommend. The differential is limited slip. |

- | If using the LS engine, GM used two different throttle bodies. Early LS engines had a cable actuated throttle body, the later ones (from 2002? and up) had electronic throttle control. Bore size was the same through LS-6. |
