FOR A CUSTOM BUILD? I like to think that the SeriesII Dragon is the answer. Without the constraints of "preferred" details, badging, and drive train, most Dragons have been carefully customized to suit their intended use by their enthusiastic owner. Fred Wood of Novi, MI, reveals his highly modified Blue Dragon to be another stunning example of custom treatment. Note the BMW Mini Cooper Headlights, dive planes, splitter, hood louvres, chopped screen, full-width spoiler, custom nose detail and vents. Engine is an rebuilt Scarab race engine Aluminum Dart small block chevy-360 cu in with accel fuel injection. est 450-500 hp. Trans is a T-56 Viper 6 speed. Diff is C4 heavy duty 3.33 ratio. Wheels are C5 ZO-6 replica 9.5 front 10.5 rear. Tires are Vredestein Sessanta 275-40-17 front 295-35-18 rear. Coil overs are multimatic from a Series 1 Shelby. Suspension is C4 Corvette with modified geometry. Brakes are C4 corvette heavy duty front on 13 inch rotors, rear also uses corvette 13 inch front rotors with Catera calipers. Paint color is BMW Lupin blue which was beautifully applied by Woody's Specialties in South Lyon, Michigan. |

SERIES II IS BORN in 2005! Resting on Dragon's laurels was not good enough. Our goal was to create an even better Dragon with even more footbox room, a lower engine bump for the fuel-injected builds, and a body that was easier to fit and finish, but still had the timeless beauty and historical basis of earlier Dragons. We started by redesigning the chassis to a space frame style structure that also allowed a choice of Live Axle Rear End. For the body, we began by smoothing the fender transitions and making the wheel openings tighter and more symmetric. The firewall and cowl were reworked to there was only one body seam. The windshield frame was redesigned to be cocmpletely removable. AND we did away with the doors, further improving frame stiffness, side-impact protection, and ease of construction. The aluminum panel construction of the tub and footboxes also allowed options for seat choices. The result is, to us, one of the most stunning shapes to ever grace the road. Be prepared to meet a lot of people when you drive this car! |

Terms: Dragon Motor Cars, LLC is a small company and can build only a handful of kits or cars during a year. You can reserve your place in our production sequence with a $1000 refundable deposit. With this deposit we will secure your production spot and give you a build date. At the start of construction we require a 25% non refundable deposit. We require full payment by cash or certified funds 1 week prior to the scheduled ship date. |
